The Homecare Supervisor role is to be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care to individuals living in the community. This role ensures that care staff are supported, care plans are followed, and services are delivered safely, compassionately, and in line with organisational policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:
Kind and compassionate individuals that are passionate about helping others
FETAC / QQI Level 5 Major Award, including the 'Care Skills' and 'Care of the Older Person' modules, or equivalent degree (e.g. BSc in Nursing)
Prior experience in a relevant healthcare setting (min. 1 year)
2 professional references
Full Driving Licence and a minimum of 1 year driving on Irish roads
Fluent English required

Community:
-
Conduct spot checks with healthcare assistants within the community.
-
Perform client reviews to ensure the quality of care.
-
Facilitate staff introductions in accordance with company policies.
-
Oversee staff shadowing, ensuring adherence to Health & Safety protocols.
-
Handle emergency situations, including rapid response for new packages and discharges.
-
Evaluate and monitor the quality of care provided to clients and promptly report concerns.
-
Support and assist in the development of the care team.
-
Collect journal notes from clients' residences.
-
Deliver Careplans, log sheets, and gloves as required.
-
Distribute Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to clients.
Office:
-
Update online system documentation, including reviews and spot checks.
-
Develop a weekly plan by scheduling reviews and confirming with Next of Kin and clients.
-
Establish a system for conducting spot checks with healthcare staff.
-
Maintain organized paperwork filing.
-
Provide support to coordinators in handling uncovered tasks during emergencies.

Attend weekly check-in meetings with teams as required.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
-
Relevant health or social care background.
-
Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in healthcare.

QQI Level 5 Major award in Healthcare Support.

QQI Level 6 qualification in Supervisory Management.
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Possession of a Full Clean Driving License and access to a car.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills:

Strong interpersonal skills and an empathetic approach to people.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Exceptional organisational and time management abilities.
